2 Days in Barcelona
Barcelona skyline seen from Park Güell

Barcelona

Come for Gaudí, stay for the vermouth hour.

Airport
El Prat, 25 min by Aerobus
Currency
Euro (EUR)
Language
Catalan and Spanish
When to go
April to June and September to October. July and August are hot, packed and half the locals are away. Winter is mild and the city is yours.
Local tip
Skip the taxi from the airport. The Aerobus costs about 7 EUR and drops you at Plaça de Catalunya in 25 minutes. I have lived here since 2010 and I still take it.

Barcelona by area & day trips

Two days is short, so every hour counts. Real prices, real timings, the queues to book around and the places I send my own friends to.

Why this site

I am Joan. I have lived in Barcelona since 2010 and this is the answer I give friends who ask what to do with two days here. It is a personal, independent site, not the tourism board and not the official page of any attraction. Some tour links earn me a commission at no extra cost to you, and that never decides what I recommend.
